Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns Returns to Hudson Gardens

A spellbinding light show will soon captivate Denver families, as this year’s Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns returns to Hudson Gardens on Friday, Sept. 22 and runs select nights through Halloween night, Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Guests of all ages will kick off the spooky season as they find a family-friendly glowing trail of more than 7,000 magnificent, hand-carved pumpkins and a magical light show illuminating larger-than-life displays. Magic is sure to be found at every twist and turn, while attendees set their sights on a nautical sea-scape, a pirate ship, dinosaurs, dragons, and so much more.

“Magic of the Jack O’Lanterns has become one of the Denver area’s favorite Halloween events for all ages,” said Chris Stafford, CEO and founding partner of Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group. “We look forward to returning to the beautiful Hudson Gardens and bringing you all of the Halloween magic including some never before seen installations!”

Strolling along the trail, attendees will find that these pumpkins are far more intricate than the classic jack o’lanterns they are used to seeing. These one-of-a-kind pumpkins feature art works, favorite characters, celebrities, athletic stars, and unique designs.

Favorites from years past include the Harry Potter display – including a portrait of Harry Potter, the Hogwarts Express, professors and more lighting up a castle wall. Classic paintings including the Mona Lisa, Starry Night, American Gothic, and The Scream carved into gourds are another crowd favorite. Another highlight includes the glowing ferris wheel of pumpkins that towers over the gardens with passenger cars filled with pumpkins.

In addition to this magical trail of pumpkins, guests can indulge in the many local food trucks on site, with many options available for all cravings. There are also drink stations throughout with non-alcoholic and themed alcoholic beverages available. Merchandise is also available for those in search of glow in the dark, light up toys, and memorabilia.

Tickets start at $14.99 for kids and $19.99 for adults on select nights. Children 2 and under will not require a ticket to enter. Tickets can be purchased at
