Venardos Circus (through May 7)

Back by popular demand, Venardos Circus (veh-NARR-dos), a Broadway-style animal-free circus, is thrilled to return to Littleton at Aspen Grove, 7301 S Santa Fe Dr, Littleton, with its all-new “Let’s Build a Dream” tour from April 27 through May 7. This season leans into its motto of “Let’s Build a Dream” as it unveils a whole new experience for fans in its brand new, Italian-made red-and-white striped tent with expanded seating around a central stage. Cinco de Mayo Festival (May 5-7)

The Cinco de Mayo Festival and Parade is a fun family oriented event with special attractions, musical acts, Folklorico dancers, Mariachis and some of the most delicious Mexican cuisine Colorado has to offer. The event is open 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. both days at the Civic Center Park.

Asian American and Pacific Islander+ Festival (May 6)

In celebration of Asian and Pacific American Heritage Month, Denver Zoo is proud to partner with the Filipino-American Community of Colorado to host  the AAPI+ Festival from 10:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. with multicultural dance, music, art, and informative workshops. Together, we will celebrate the diversity of Colorado’s Asian community and the Zoo’s unique connection to Asian cultures and countries through our animals and conservation programs. You are encouraged you to wear traditional clothing and accessories from the culture with which you identify.

Second Saturdays Summer Concert and Street Festival (May 13)

Olde Town Arvada’s Second Saturdays Summer Concert Series and Street Festival is returning to Olde Town for four dates this summer! We have some groovy bands lined up on two different stages that will have you dancing all night long. There also will be artisan vendors, food, and libations, as well as a kid’s zone to keep the whole family entertained. As always, these events are FREE!

Colorado Chocolate Festival (May 12-13)

Sample thousands of chocolates, buy your favorites from chocolatiers, basket and other vendors. Not only can you fill up on tastings but you’ll also see cooking demos, contests, gifts, games, kids activities and more. The festival is at the Crowne Plaza Dia Convention Center. Tickets are $10; kids 12 and under are free. Tickets for sampling or VIP options are also available here.

Denver Art Festival (May 27-28)

The Denver Arts Festival is a free festival featuring fine art and fine crafts from primarily Colorado artists. In addition to art, food trucks and live music, there is a Kids Art Zone where kids can create their own paintings to take home. The event is held at Central Park’s Conservatory Green Neighborhoods.
